Ready to Start Using HondaLink |
If you want to start using HondaLink, then you should have:
1. iPhone 5 or later
Compatible phones include iPhone 5, iPhone 5c and iPhone 5s. Previous iPhone models and iPads are not supported.

2. HondaLink iOS cable kit
If you don’t have a kit, you can purchase one from your local Honda dealer.
3. HondaLink apps
Use your iPhone to download the apps from the iTunes App Store.
Set up and connect your iPhone to Start Using HondaLink
1. Open the App Store on your iPhone and type “HondaLink” into the search box.
2. Download the HondaLink App Launcher, HondaLink Connect and HondaLink Aha apps. The HondaLink Navigation app is also available for $59.99.
3. Register through any of the apps, or use an existing Honda ID. Access the entire suite of apps with one login.
4. Open Settings on your iPhone, then turn on Bluetooth.
5. On the Display Audio screen, select the Settings icon, Bluetooth Device List, then Add Bluetooth Device.
6. Using the HondaLink iOS Cable Kit, connect the HDMI and USB cables to the inputs below the Display Audio panel, then to the Lightning AV adapter. Next, connect the adapter to your iPhone.
7. Push your Civic’s red ENGINE START/STOP button, touch the CONNECT icon on the Display Audio screen, then select “Allow” on your iPhone when prompted.
Helpful hints (Ensure you are safely in park while connecting your iPhone.)
1. iPhone cannot connect with the Display Audio system while locked. Unlock your phone before connecting.
2. iPhone may disconnect from Display Audio due to notifications.
Stop in a safe location and close the pop-up to reconnect. To minimize interruptions, you can choose to modify your iPhone’s notification settings to None or Banners.
3. iPhone must request permission to connect with Display Audio.
To ensure authorized use, you must select “Allow” each time you connect.
